This program targets 4 & 5 year old soccer players, boys and girls. This is an 8-week program that focuses on the basic fundamentals of the game. Players will be exposed to the basic mechanics and techniques used to dribble a soccer ball. They will also work on some movement education, which is basic coordination with and without the ball. Players will also play in small-sided games that allow maximum touches on the ball and constant involvement in game play. Players will meet once a week for 1 hour on Friday evenings at Pine Island Park from 630-730pm. John Ramos, Director of Coaching for the Plantation Eagles Soccer Club, will be the head coach for this program. John holds his National Youth License, which targets very young players. He is also on the Academy committee for the Florida Youth Soccer Association. Coach John is educated on the psychological, physical, and social characteristics of 4 & 5 years olds, which allow an environment that accommodates these characteristics. Coach Ramos guarantees a fun environment where players will learn basic techniques and begin to develop a passion for soccer.
